Keep going on no matter what

The thing about M.E. is that you never know how you’re going to feel in two hours, let alone the next day. Some days I start out well and get worse at the middle of the day, others I start off worse and get better. But one thing remains, I always keep going no matter what.

When I saw this quote, I felt it’s exactly how I go by everyday.

Life is hard. Life with a chronic illness is harder.

But you know what makes it even harder? Doubting yourself, feeling sorry for yourself, bathing in self-misery, making excuses for yourself as to why you cannot do things.

Life sucks. But you can make it better, with a positive mind set. No, it doesn’t take my pain away. It does not make me have a better balance or make me walk normally when my legs stop working. But is sure helps a lot!

Whenever I feel like I want to give up, I just try to think how much worse it could be and about all of the good things I have in my life. And that makes me want to keep going on no matter what.

The mind is a powerful thing, you just need to use it.
